Chris_B
[ QUOTE ] Alpine is some of the best roads you'll get anywhere [/ QUOTE ] I went to Millbrook for the D3 pre-launch; took a 4.2 Sport round Alpine. We had a 60 mph limit though, and I only got waved at by a track marshall a couple of times...
Will22
[ QUOTE ] Ive had 170 (GPS) out of the CSL with still plenty more to go. I had my last car, the R32 up to a GPS 155. Both have V6's, both are 3.2's and both are N/A. [/ QUOTE ] Isn't the CSL a straight

Teebags
163 indicated / 159 GPS out of the S8, ran out of clear road after that. Fastest I've driven was 182 in a Bentley Continental T on the test track.

feoffle
i do apologise, i didn't mean to come across so harsh as i've been having a stinkin day at work, but that REALLY angered me. by the way i've had an indicated 160mph out of my 1.8 4-banger which was on the limiter so really about 154. would hope your big 6 cylinders would do better
rothwell
What car is it then feoffle. A remapped Octavia 1.8T can be coaxed to just above 155mph. You must have something fairly light with similar power to get to indicated 160mph.

As a side note (as this is an A8 forum) a friend of mine had an Integra type R and on any standing start or rolling start the 8 had it in its pocket. feoffle
UKDM Integra's as standard are very, very limited by the exhaust system. i've had a Mugen Intake, JDM spec manifold, decat and Fujitsubo exhaust added and a tune from one of the top Honda guys in the states and its running at 218bhp now. here are a couple of links to pictures of the standard vs. Japanese spec manifolds, gives you an idea of how restrictive it is. http://tartje.bulletpain.com/My%20Integra/Image(447).jpg http://tartje.bulletpain.com/My%20Integra/Image(448).jpg look at the difference in the primaries and the collector (the difference in the collector isn't QUITE that bad as its slightly closer to the camera, but you get the idea) but now with that power and weighing as little as it does, it REALLY shifts in comparison to before. its got the power the chassis deserved in the beginning

[/ QUOTE ] That must be even worse than the time an Angel fish tried to eat me while I was scuba diving. What made it worse was I was desperately trying to get my PADI. At the time a floating log protruding from my wet suit may have saved me from the killer angel fish, but certainly gave me no brownie points with the instructor!
