SamD
Seeing as how it was such a lovely day, I thought I would get outside and give the car a proper treat. Started at 10am and finished at 4pm with only a 30 minutes lunch break, I am now totally knackered First washed the car with Megs NXT, dried it off with the blade and water magnet, polished the exhaust with Autosol and cleaned the wheels (although they are coming off next weekend for another reason so will get a more thorough clean then) This took me a lot longer than I expected (being that I washed it last weekend and have only driven it once since!), I blame the hangover Next clayed the car with a Megs Clay Bar and Quick Detailer. This was the first time I have ever used clay, and I have to say I was very impressed with the smoothness of the paint after use! Very simple and extrememly effective, I just couldn't stop stroking the paint. Next onto Megs Step 1 Paint Cleaner. Again this did a lovely job of removing any imperfections left by the clay. Next on to Step 2 Polish. Once I had finished that the car looked so shiney that it almost looked wet! Finally applied a coat of Step 3 Carnauba Wax. Really pleased with the results - well worth the time spent. Tomorrow I am going to go out and enjoy it A few pictures:
Tizzy
Looks very good Sam - nice work. Shame my S4 doesn't look like that and I don't think it ever has, even when it came from the 'Stealers!!

rottenbend
Inspired by Sam. I decided to get my car ready for the winter. 1. Washed 2. Windows cleaned and polished 3. Millteks polished with Autosol 4. Wheels cleaned with Virosol, waxed and sealed 5. Bodywork clayed with Meg's clay bar 6. Waxed with Meg's NXT 7. Sealed with GlossGuard A hard days work but I think it was worth it. Am posting some pictures so that you can make your own minds up

Ari
Planned to give mine a coat of Autoglym UDS and a coat of Autoglym EGP but it was just so damp I decided against the second coat. Still at least it's got a fresh coat of wax on for the winter. (Last waxed in June I think, 2x UDS + 1x EGP). Couple of photos taken this afternoon. Not bad for an old girl (three years old in January!)
SamD
Felt a bit guilty when I went out and saw my beautiful shiney smooth car this morning with my wifes dirty, scratched, bumpy Ford Ka sat next to it. So I set about cleaning it after lunch and 3 hours laters I was done. Washed, dried, clayed, and Megs 1-2-3'd. Felt like such a tiny area in comparison to my car (thank goodness!) IMHO it looks pretty good now.
J_C
Nice work Sam, both cars look excellent! I recently bought a Porter Cable random orbital polisher, and I used it for the first time yesterday on the S4. There's still some way to go, but if you thought it was shiny when you saw it the other week, you ain't seen nothin' yet!
SamD
I would be a bit scared to use a PC, I think I need an old crappy car to practise on.... perhaps my Scumball car will come in useful
