Abrahamc
Hi Guys, I had parking sensors already fitted to my B6 A4, which I assume are Audi original, when i bought it. I have now fitted a towbar to the car, and the sensors drive me crazy. I even removed the hitch and capped it, and it still goes nuts. Does anyone know how to "reconfigure it" so that they work as per normal with the towbar fitted? or is this just not possible? Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the manual for this? danksy
Rear sensors were not available with factory fit tow bars for this reason. I used to tow my megablade behind the Avant, but luckily i had removable park sensors, but it used to drive me nuts The best option would be to get vag-com and disable the sensors each time you attach the towbar (if its removable) or permanently disable them
paul_tdi
When I retrofitted sensors they work 100% with/without towbar attached. I had to calibrate them with the removable towbar fitted. To do this on retro sets u need to connect the blue wire to the reversing cct, park about 50cm from a wall to calibrate them. When the tone changes job done, remove blue wire from reverse cct and all should be ok. Blue wire located near sensor control box and I would imagine factory installs should be similar. HTH! TDiAvant
Factory kits are done via the diag port, no fecking about with wiring. I'm going to strip my system out and put the factory fit ones on the car.
Abrahamc
Does anyone know the partnumber for the audi factory kit? Or does anyone know where I can get the manual from? Cheers, Abe
