The astute among you will have noticed that this isnt a ferrari 599. Yesterday the battery was dead and it couldnt be taken out of the garage. Today.. still no joy.. no one had worked out how to get into the boot with the power down..

So on with the wiesmann as the battery on that was fine smile.gif

This is pretty new to the owner but i'm not too sure how new it actually was as the paint had quite a few marks all over it.

Pre wash and shampoo as per normal.

the marks actually looked alot worse than they were and shows what just 1 or 2 poor washes can do!

Before

After menz 106fa

The rest of the car was the same and corrected up just the same aswell but although it was a small car it took AGES due to all the awkward angles and curves.

Engine bay was cleaned

and interior was detailed and leather fed with gliptone

Then... miracle!! We found the emergency pull release for the ferrari and the batter was soon on charge! so for the first time in about a year i'll be working a saturday :wall:

Back to the wiesmann and with the correction done the car was treated with HD cleanse and then given a coat of the Vintage wax.

As im back again tomorrow i'll have chance to get some outside pics again but for now....

Hola... yes im back on holiday. Snowboarding in Andorra this time.. just finished another day of dodging rocks and ice patches... could REALLY do with a coupld of ft snow hear ASAP.. but still having fun.

I completed this Ferrari on saturday but was in such a rush to then pack and get to the airport that i never had time to do the write up.

Anyway... car was brand new and had never been washed so no need for a full correction on this one.

Pre wash and shampoo all as normall.

Then inside and checked under the lights properly and spotted a few areas of hologramming that needed attention. Then the whole car was treated with HD cleanse and then waxed with the Vintage wax. Interior cleaned and leather conditioned, glass cleaned and other dressings applied.

Unfortunately it was well dark by the time i was finished and with no return trip the next day i wont have any daylight pics of this one im afraid.

Finished pics..

This is the second S ultimate i have done but the first with the 'ultimate' badge. Thats because customers who asked for any colour other than ultimate black still got the final spec but not the 'ultimate' badge. apart from 3 white cars that went to dubai that were allowed to be classed as 'ultimate'. Only 50 ultimates were built and they were the last Astons to roll off the Newport Pagnell assembly line.

This particular S Ultimate has only 131 miles on the clock. But I was called as it was looking far from 131 miles old!

Arrived and took the car out of its climate controlled and dehumidified large double garage. Car 'looked' clean but to be on the safe side gave it a full 'cambridge autogleam' wash anyway and rinsed down with pure water through the peerless filter.

Dried and back in the garage i was starting to see the size of the task ahead as the early morning sun blasted into the garage.

Taped up and paint measued (all around the 200um mark) it was time to try a few areas. Menz 106fa was good but on some bad areas needed 2 hits. Menz 3.02 worked well but no matter how much i worked it i couldnt get a hologram free finish.. so back to the 106fa and just hit twice on the areas that needed it.

Then there were some RDS that even with wet sanding and then polishing 3.02 > 106fa only minimised how bad they looked and didnt fully remove them. Others were removed fully but its still annoying not to be able to get it perfect.

Some before and after pics..

Finally finished all the polishing and on with the HD Cleanse and then the Vinatge wax.

To be honest i was absolutely exhausted after this one (and prob still after a week of my snowboarding) so was very happy to finish and take some final shots.

Evening folks. Lovely F430 lined up today. Only 85 miles on the clock having been driven from the dealers in Exeter.

Obviously it had been a dirty drive as it was covered in grime so a full carefull wash.

PetersF430.jpg

Back inside and under the lights there was alot of hologramming actually. In the difficult areas i used Menz 85RD by hand on a foam pad and on the rest of the car 85rd on a megs finishing pad.

Then HD Cleanse and Vintage wax. Glass cleaned with HD Cleanse. Wheels waxed with Vintage.

Finished shots.
