[Audi A3/S3] Jacking points?

Was wondering if anyone could tell me the exact jacking points on the S3.

Have noticed that the few times my cat has had to be jacked, the techs use the sill and have put a few small dents into the seal dripping.

Where does everybody else use? 169144-ok.gif

Had to have a pop at a local tyre fitter the other day as they almost put a trolley jack through the plastic bodykit!!!

Needless to say, I had a few words and got the hell out of there! NONO3.GIF

The best way to jack it is to use a small trolley jack close to the wheelarches, there are various solid points you can use to lift it, just watch the fuel tank at the rear tho.

If you need to use the audi jack then i dont think there's really any way to stop it denting the underside of the sill a little unfortunately

DO NOT place any jack under any part of the sill unless its the original audi jack in its correct jacking point.

The original jack is total and utter sh1ite.

As my car is lowered, what i tend to do is lift the car with the audi jack a few cms and then slide a trolley jack under and jack the car up with that. I place it under the subframe where the main bolts to the chassis are for the front and on the rear i use the trailing arms at the point where they bolt up to the chassis.

Also best to use a protective pad on your trolly jack.

P.S My car nearly fell off the original audi jack !!

Seems like you can't trust anyone now-a-days to do anything correctly.

I'm thinking of manufacturing some protective pads specially designed for my car so when it needs to be jacked up it isn't damaged.

Hands-up who has dents from jacking on their jacking points! smirk.gif

What do the dealers do when you take the car to them? confused.gif
