Either: SRP, Seal (EX-P) then 476, or Poorboys Pro Polish, Seal (EX-P) then Glaze (Yellow Moose, CG PHFG etc) then 476! When do I seal (Poorboys EX-P) - after polish but before Wax/Glaze and Wax? A very good service IMO I've been using their Speed Wipe which seems pretty good (never really used a QD before) and smells like cherries Will give their Pro Detailer a go next time. They guy on here, slimtim also sells some Chemical Guys gear. Ahaydock dont use a glaze with your sealant. steelwind101 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Share Posted January 6, 2007 Hi Um, the glazes are acutally oils which are abosrbed in to the paintwork. They help to nurish the paintwork and help give it that wet, deep look. The sealant will repell water etc. it will so also repel oils. Once you apply it over the sealant you will end up rubbing off most of the oils; they have no where to go but sit on your sealant, they cant be obsorbed. Some glaze will no doubt stay in the microscopic lines, holes and grooves in the sealant but all in it will mostly be worthless. On some auto detaling sites people do it, i know the guy posts on here uses SRP -->> #7 -->> Collinite. But the oils are not going to the paintwork, theres just a tiny layer left on the SRP. That was what i was saying before, you might even like the look of just the sealant, EX-P looks pretty good. Theres not even a need to seal and wax. With Collinite and EX-P on your list both would be fine to use on there own. EX-P giving around 8 weeks of protection. Some might consider it over kill to use both!! You know 915 and 476 are great products but you might wish to switch to something which will give better looks when the need for heavy duty protection isnt required. steelwind101 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Share Posted January 7, 2007 Hi It really depends how often you can wax. I will recommend products that will last 4-6 weeks before there gone. When i say last i mean in terms of looks and durability. Often one can start to go before the other. Nattys Blue!! Easy to use nice and wet look. XXX Hardcore from Chemical Guys, if your getting the glaze from there his is a good option. Similar to Nattys in looks. They both cost around £15. Deatiler Pride Max Wax, really nice product i would say all around a better looker IMHO then the other two and its a fiver more at £20. If you want less durability you can go for the likes of P21s or Signature series from Pinnicle. They really only give 3 weeks of good looks a durability, not really good for this type of weather. The Pinnicle really has the edge on the looks though. ClearKote does Carnauba Moose Wax, tends to mute metalics a little more then say Nattys but certantly looks VERY good.
