Luke
That's nice and bright SK. I like the new beetle shape. GSR??
shao_khan
Yeah - GSR is the top trim spec they offer in the Beetle - provides a few nice to haves - its a slightly detuned version of the Golf GTi providing 210 not 220ps - but obviously it looks cool and comes in Yellow

Twinspark
That Beetle is stunning. They're great looking cars.
shao_khan
The Beetle Looks great, drives great, equipment is great - economy is crap. 23mpg average this week that's just town driving and not caning it too hard. It needs to have the new 2l tfsi engine with the 10mpg better economy.
eldavo69
Sorry but the new beetle really doesn't do it for me - made for the American market to my eyes. There is a yellow one very near me with the "retro look" polished hubcaps that are an option - luckily the girl that drives it is completely hot so her having such a recognisable car makes my perving job that little bit easier. NewNiceMrMe
I must admit the new Beetle has no appeal to me at all. We looked at a grey one when we bought EldestMissMe's first car but it was positively archaic inside compared to the Cooper, and very sluggish too. Mook
I think a lot with the new Bug depends on the colour - and that one looks great
Tipex
I'm not a big Beetle fan, but the new one looks way better than the old new one, and as Mook says, colour is a huge factor, that looks better than the powder blue one with chrome hub caps I see most days. Calm Chris
Bet you get more attention from 25+ age group, would a sub that aged person even understand the legend of the movies?
jimdiesel
There was the 2005 Lindsey Lohan Herbie Fully Loaded effort that introduced the No53 to a new audience. Not a patch on Herbie goes to Monte Carlo.
garcon magnifique
I doubt that's the first time the words "Lindsey Lohan" and "fully loaded" have appeared in the same sentence.

NewNiceMrMe
Bet you get more attention from 25+ age group, would a sub that aged person even understand the legend of the movies? Of course they would! Our youngest watched the remake and loved it and then watched the originals. For some reason I thought there was more than one remake, but apparently not. garcon magnifique
Much as I enjoyed the original Herbie movies as a kid, you could say I've never really caught the Bug, so to speak. But if you're going to have one, might as well make it a Herbie!
Twinspark
I may have posted a pic or two of my 75. But I've just been browsing through some old track day photos and found one which demonstrates the utterly ridiculous body roll you could get on one, whilst all 4 wheels were still in contact with the ground. Suspect it's something to do with the funny suspension fitted. Edited May 20, 2014 by Twinspark
