Rachel
That looks the part in that colour! Enjoy every mile with a smile and make sure you always drive it on its door handles.
Thorburn
Was worried it might be a bit subtle. I was going to go yellow to match the Elise as it is a no-cost colour on factory orders vs. £1200 for orange, but the saving on an unregistered late-2017 car already at the dealership was huge vs. ordering new. Evora 400, 2+2, Metallic Orange, Alcantara Interior Trim Pack, Alcantara steering wheel, Black Pack (roof, sills, chin spoiler, wheels), Cruise Control, Subwoofer and Cupholder (yay!). They've got things like satnav, parking sensors, reversing camera and heated seats as standard on them.
CarMad
And whats the engine / performance in an Evora these days?
Thorburn
27 minutes ago, CarMad said: And whats the engine / performance in an Evora these days? Still the Toyota 2GR-FE engine, but new supercharger/charge cooler arrangement and power up to 400bhp, revised gearshift mechanism (I've gone with a manual) and a Quaife LSD at the back. Quite a different interior to the earlier models with a revised dash layout and Sparco seats, along with revised chassis with lower, slimmer sills so getting in and out is a breeze. Performance is around 4.1s to 60mph and will go on to 186mph apparently. I've also got my dads V12 Vantage S now as he passed away October last year, but getting the Evora to use regularly, V12 Vantage will be kept for special occasions and hoping to manage some track days in the Elise.

patently
That looks lovely, Thorburn. Very envious! Thought I'd pop this photo of the 911 up, as yesterday was the 14th anniversary of when I collected her from the OPC...
NewNiceMrMe
As is said above by others, I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad, Thorburn. My sincere condolences. That Evora looks very nice indeed. I quite like orange as a car colour but it has to be on the right size and shape - and that is the right size and shape. Besides, I'm always puzzled when someone buys a car like an Evora and then chooses an anonymous or greyscale colour. It should be illegal.

M8CKN
There's a few Evoras in JCT near me The lairy green looks fabulous as does the orange. In red it looks like a Ferrari kit car though, it doesn't suit it at all in my view

Elise is yellow with silver wheels, but I have a ratty set of AWIs I keep meaning to sand down and have a go at painting black.
theduisbergkid
I'm watching the prices of the earlier Evoras, they look like great value to me - £25k for this - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201712091946451?onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=le54eh&sort=price-asc&radius=1500&make=LOTUS&model=EVORA&page=1 Very tempting!
