chasdrury
Hi guys My car is coming up to 60,000 miles on an 04 plate - I thought it would be due a cambelt but the dealer say 4 years or 115,000 miles. Does this sound right. They have assured me this is the case. Its the A4 1.8TQS I am talking about. Cheers Chaz
paul_tdi
Chaz, Cant comment on the mileage but Audi do advise every four years or whatever mileage interval is stated for your car as I found out recently at great expense!

lordy
Had mine changed a few weeks back after the water pump went - 45k miles coming up to 4 years old.. Dealer quoted 980, specialist did it for 380 (pump, cambelt, tensioners etc)... oh and fully cleaned the car inside and out.. Just had car serviced today - at same specialist.. they mentioned clutch bite point is a bit high - nothing bad but to stop keep riding the clutch - any ideas how much a new clutch costs to replace if I do bugger it (I know it won't be cheap!) 1.8T cab

M20str
Having recently spoken to the stealer, they said it's not 4 years but 5 years or mileage based. It was 60k/5 years on a 3.0 Petrol. Some dealers have changed to 4 years as there was TSB but it was recinded and went back to 5 years. Mike

A4_Family_Man
From reading the above and from phoning Audi, it is soley mileage based for the 1.8T engine. 115k. which does seem very high! According to the stealers it is not age based (at the moment anyways).
