vagman
Audi's Symphony II+ is mp3 cd compatible, but is Concert II. I've got iPod on the SB, but it doesn't show the id3 tags which is most annoying. Thanks

LostDog
How about a Symphony I? I'm guessing no because I can't get any mp3 CDs to work in the new A3 that I drove home yesterday. However, the dealer told me the car would play mp3 CDs and I'd like to believe him. These same disks work fine in my X3 and Jeep.
craigyb
Symphony 1 & II = No Mp3 at all Symphony II+ = Mp3 on internal drive Concert 1 & II = No Mp3 at all Concert II+ (double din) Mp3 on internal drive
LostDog
Thanks Craigyb. That should conclude this thread. Now I got to sort out with the dealer why they told me it would play mp3s. Also, need to figure out why my '07 with the audio package has a SymphonyI even though the brochure says Symphony II.
craigyb
Well an 07 should be symphony II+ and have the large display if it is a late model.
LostDog
Thanks again. Might be a difference between UK and US. The latest from my dealer now is that the only '07 A3s with mp3 capability are the ones with NAV. He's going to _try_ to get me upgraded with a new head unit. Wish me luck.
