Ari
What the hell is a Skyjet 125? Seems like a lot of brand new bike for £900!
SneakyMcC
It does dunnit! Ally frame(?) and upside-downies!
RacingRed
Race rep indeed! And is SkyJet supposed to be the model or the manufacturer? Tenner says its a Chinese job. Engines probably a copy of some discontinued Japanese design, hell the frame might be as well.
DukeDesmo
Thought it was a budget airline But it does look good for that money, I paid more than that for new wheels.........
Lee_
Looks like a chinese copy of a Honda CBR125.
Ari
I think it looks really smart and a lot of fun for under a grand. Wonder if it's actually any good...
Lee_
If its like most other chinese bikes, it probably isn't. They usually fall apart within 6 months. Being a 4 stroke 125 it will be very underpowered too.
Mort
Yep... Total Chinese crap. Just work out the 900 quid sale price, deduct profit, import duty, transportation costs and manufactuers and agents profit, and chinese labour costs ... what you have left is the cost of the raw materials and design/test/engineering costs .... from that, derive the quality of the product.... I'll bet this bike rolls out of the factory costing a few hundred quid if that... what kind of quality engineering do you get for that ? Total waste of money to buy one of these... Having said that... The Japanese were regarded just like this in the 50's and 60's and look what happened. China and India will take over the industrial world in the next 20 years.... R32Ash
It's things like the suspension and brakes that would worry me the most; they aren't going to be much use at that price since no decent manufacturer will have let them have their kit within that budget, surely. I'd expect them to be 'homemade' items, built to a very tight budget.
