Smack the screen with a 12 oz pin hammer and get a new one

I did think of this but don't want the hassle of replacing the screen for something so small a nice bit of ''filler'' is all i really need.

Thats what I do lol.gif

The screen doesn't need to be cracked for you to be allowed a full replacement! yelrotflmao.gif

Hudson, a 'clean' 2mm chip with no cracks is possibly too small to repair, for the resin risks being pulled back out by the wipers. Pop into your local branch and let one of the techies have a quick look.

2-12 mm chips are the ideal size as the resin can grip into the screen. Repairs will never be perfect as original glass: The idea is to give the surface a smooth seal, stopping moisture getting in, stopping freeze thaw which causes the screen to crack.

Just like side etching, chip repair is a freebie on FC insurance. Autoglass 0800 36 36 36.

I've got some tiny scratchs on my windscreen, waiting for a decision by Autoglass as to how/if they will do something, I dont want the screen replaced if I can get away with it.

Got these using one of those silicon blades!!!, must wash screen off FIRST otherwise it picks up grit and well you know the rest........... smashfreakB.gif
