Want DVD and screens in an RS4 with bucket seats

I dont really want a portable DVD player, I want something that is integrated into the car. Anybody got any ideas, recommendations for good quality screens that can be fitted. Problem is (I think, since the I dont get the car for a week or two) the bucket seats, presumably they cannot be modified to have screens fitted into them, or does someone know better? what about a screen that fits into the roof, anybody got one of these, are they too bulky for an a4/rs4 avant , is there enough angle to allow two ankle biters to watch it at the same time.

Ideas please - what has anybody else done, got any piccies?

I would always choose a roofmount screen, better quailty, only need one, you can get ne with a dvd player in it and then run the output to the cars nav, and if you get it in black to match the headlinig you can't see it in there like you can with headrest screens.

Get a half decent one and the angle is fine, get one with wireless headphones too.

I would be very surprised if you were able to fit screens in the RS4 bucket seats. I think roof mount is the only way to go.

may have a problem with a roof mount - I have a sunroof. I am guessing this would mean that the roof mount would have to be quite a long way back on the roof and hence making it difficult for both rear passengers to see the screen.

ok, how about a different tact, what about a screen on an arm like they have on aircraft in the exit isles. does anybody know where i may be able to source something like this?

Check out Brodit they do a range of between the front seats mounts for screens customised for specific car ranges.

I think all you lose in the case of the A4 is the rear ashtray. They list four options for the B6/B7 based saloons (part no's:- 622990, 622991, 624990, 624991) depending on the mounting system on the actual screens. I've used a lot of their bits and pieces over the years and they're all very good quality.
