350Z Import

Looking around the 350Z market - and wheras most of the UK cars start at around £15,500 second hand - there are quite a few Jap Imports kicking around that are low milage 2003 / 2004 cars at around £13,000 and very tempting......

But aside from the fact they are an Import (and insurance may be slightly higher), what are the downsides to buying one of these? Are they the same mechanically? Is the rust protection etc. of the same quality? confused.gif

usually jap imports are higher spec and generally a better fuel mapping due to the fact they are mapped against 100ron fuel.

So you will have a few more poines than the UK spec if you use the 99 ron fuel.

Dont knwo about the newer cars but my past 2 jap imports did not have an appropriate undercoat for uk weather.

not really any difference to either really, just the imports obviously dont hold their valus as well. Mine is a high mileage UK car but its market value is higher than the imports...just need to make sure an import has been undersealed! not sure if all imports are tiptronic either..
