X5 3.0d Sport or Toureg 3.0D Sport

All this talk of Band G, has got me thinking about swapping my Golf GTi for one of the following, preferably the X5. I'm not interested in the new shape as A/ The new Tax B/ it would no doubt get nicked round my way C/ I haven't got £40k to play with. Should i wait a couple of months for the new one to be released and hence more used stock as buyers trade up confused.gif

Anyway, how much could I expect to pick up the Beemers for now... I'd be looking for a Black or Grey 3.0d Sport with leather and comms pack as the only essentials. 169144-ok.gif

The other dilemna was the Toureg, I've only ever sat in one, not driven one. But the new 3.0TDI is meant to be an absolute peach. cool.gif Anyone had any experience of either?

Ive have driven both, and both are very good. The V6 engine in the Toureag is amazing, as is the drive. Tough decision but Id go for the VW, as it is newer technology. Try and get hold of an altitude are they look the nuts with their bodykit and wheels.

However the X5 is also an amazing drive and the long standing market leader.

Drive both and see what you think 169144-ok.gif

It makes sense mate, but i'd be paranoid about it getting nicked. Thieves are attracted to the money in my area, thus a lot of expensive metal gets nicked to order, 4x4s especially. A new X5 (with an 18 month wait) would be like a red rag to a bull. But for resale and free motoring, it would be the one to go for, I agree 169144-ok.gif
