Simonl
No No No, don't let them put you off the GTi, it's a far more dynamic and capabable car.
RedRobin
I don't have direct experience of Motorpoint other than when I was making enquiries before buying. I would add my advice to others here who have said "Stay away!". At the time my gut-feeling was ringing alarm bells. Euroimports are much better but I'm totally happy with my VW dealer who are better able to give aftersales service than any independent importer. IMO! doctordutton
Have you considered Select Automotive? I've currently got my GTI on order from them - It's now arrived at their German VW dealer and should be here within the next 2 weeks. So far I have found the service to be good, although it has taken 2-3 weeks longer than quoted. I'll post full feedback when the car arrives but if you search the forum there are comments from several satisfied customers. I also considered euroimports as there is less 'work' for the customer to do such as arranging to pay the european dealer directly in euros however their prices weren't as competitive as Select, particularly the savings on the options. RedRobin
Euroimports and Select seem to be the most well thought of on TSN. A Search will throw up some more info.
louloumac
Seeing as I couldn't get any sense out of MP I got my hubby to call them and after a good rant they have agreed to refund my £500. How quickly they do this remains to be seen............ Thanks for all your help and advise this week, it's been very much appreciated. I have a feeling I might be swerving over to the Audi forum now though!
louloumac
Just thought I'd let you all know that a cheque for £500 arrived in the post this morning from Motorpoint refunding my "reservation" fee. Feeling very relieved and damn sure I won't be going there again, well certainly not for an import anyway! PS: The A3 was awesome and I'm currently wrangling with the dealer over price. Sorry guys, I'll leave now, I know when I'm not wanted!!
