snez22
the good thing is that S3 prices will stay pretty solid because the new one is so expensive.
Mollox
Hmm just specced an S4 hoping i could make it for £36k and prove that the A3 3.2 is a complete no-brainer but, surprisingly, there's a lot of things that don't come standard on an S4 either! S4 / S4 Avant S4 Avant 4.2 quattro 344 PS 6 speed £ 36,580.00 Dolphin Grey, metallic £ 430.00 Silver-black, black-black, black, black Acoustic parking aid - rear only £ 350.00 Heated, automatic dipping and folding door mirrors £ 360.00 Electric slide and tilt solar sunroof £ 990.00 Cool box £ 55.00 Front centre armrest £ 110.00 Load Area pack £ 75.00 Heated front seats £ 350.00 Cruise control £ 400.00 All prices incl. ArmchairAthlete
Why would you want the £1,450 DSG box if you are looking to spec it like an S3?
sidicks
[ QUOTE ] surprisingly, there's a lot of things that don't come standard on an S4 either! [/ QUOTE ] I was suprised when I compared the spec of an S4 vs M3 - there's about £3k difference in list price, but when you add: Leather Metallic paint Cruise Control Park Distance Control Memory seats etc, the BMW is actually a bit cheaper. Mollox
[ QUOTE ] Why would you want the £1,450 DSG box if you are looking to spec it like an S3? [/ QUOTE ] True! Forgot i'd clicked that - happens to me with pesky options But on the other hand, it might as well do SOMETHING better than the S3 And its still not exactly good value at £26.5k either!! RichardH
[ QUOTE ] the good thing is that S3 prices will stay pretty solid because the new one is so expensive. ArmchairAthlete
Fontain have an as new March 03 silver with 12,000 Miles for £22,995 retail. So trade would be about £19,500 - £21,
s4dreamer
I started to spec out the 3.2 A3, but gave up because it looked like it was coming out too expensive. £28k for a none "S" medium hatchback is robbery (or stupidity if you buy one). Oh, and What Car? didn't think too much of th 3.2's handling either Guess it'll have to be something else instead
