How's Ari feeling today?

  1. 1. How's Ari feeling today?

    • Right as rain - he's one of them gits who doesn't get hangovers
    • Bit ropey, sore head, generally a tad groggy
    • Not good. Threw up on the cat, peed in the wardrobe, poor recollection of events last night
    • Clinically dead. Never EVER drinking again. Ever.

Who has issues with the Midlands and Milton Keynes meets being on the same nights ie. first Wednesday of each month?

OK, so they are 77 miles apart ie. less than Meets_Stig's threshold of 93 miles apart

Here's a poll for those of you who don't want to post.

Sorry for being so petty, but I'm feeling argumentative today SAUER0421.GIF

With the TT meets I go to I've often been 70 or 80 miles on a weeknight to get to one. But I also pick and choose which ones I want to go to. People are still going to be able to go to whichever meet they like and can even do alternate meets on a monthly basis.

Also having two meets within this distance means the oppertunity is there for a larger joint meet at some point even a regular event once every couple of months.

So, keep both meets going with whoever wishes to attend. Being on the same night will not be a problem.

I don't think it matters that two overlap. If it becomes an issue, then and only then should we discuss it. As far as I can see, many people will pick one or the other, and few if any have complained about this.

Just have them on the same dates. If they get popular and people comment about moving them then fine, make arrangements to move one. How many really sit between them and are struggling to decide which to go to?

Just read this from when 2 NE meets clashed last year.

Let's just have the June Midlands Meet on 6th since there's interest at the moment then have subsequent ones on a different time in the month. To be fair, Ian C did suggest 6th June first

See you on 6th 169144-ok.gif

I'll start a new Midlands Meet thread tomorrow if there's no more posts on the subject.

I've attended both in the same month and would certainly like to visit Midlands again, especially now the summer is approaching. cool.gif

If Midlands June 6th is good for people, then do it. Would love to make things easy by moving MK to the 13th, but Nik and Richard [to name but two] will already down at Le Mans. Alas, that would have been the simplest quick fix.

Can we not just stick with tradition? MK week 1, Midlands week 2, Essex week 3, Windsor week 4. Some bi-monthly, granted.

Is Midlands monthly or every other month? If the later, then yes, go for the first Weds, but alternating with MK. Another possible option.

I do actually agree with Ian in some respects on this - meets have always been successive weeks as he has listed, and in the past I have done 3 or 4 of these in a month as we have had Essex and Windsor folks at MK.

It just seems pointless to change stuff around, but if thats what people want then so be it I guess.

I don't think it'll be a regular thing Shao - just this month the 6th seems good for many people in the Midlands and for me personally it's better as I'm off to Le Mans... doesn't matter because I was quite prepared to miss the meet of course, it's not about me.

I don't see it being a problem long term.
