gtiller
Hi there, Just curious... is there anything we can change with VAG-COM to allow the passenger side mirror to point to the pavement when reverse gear is selected? I know on early models, this was related to the memory seat function (which I don't have) but is that still the case? Thanks!
Sebastian
Depending on the particular model you are having, this is still the case.

Sebastian
Still the case for that one.
TwoSheds
Sebastian, Can you use VAG-COM on a MKV Golf (2006 model year) to enable the new feature passenger mirror to tilt to kerb when you engage reverse gear when you already have Lux Pack 1 ( electric folding mirrors only ) ? nicknick
Can you set it so that it enables the tilt on both sides (on an A6 (C5) that already has memory seats and the passenger side dipping ... Or is it case of one side of the other ?
Vertigo1
Any more news on this? Have a MY07 A3 with folding/dimming mirrors and this would be a superb feature if possible.
Daz
I'd also like this - would help tremedously when parking the car in the garage. I've also got folding/dimming mirrors but not memory seats.
Phil1978
I have memory seats with the folding/dimming mirrors and the passenger side dips if the switch is on that side when reverse is selected. I have tried it on the drivers side, but to no avail. And cant see where the coding could be changed.
PetrolDave
There's no coding to enable the drivers mirror to dip - only the passenger side one (so that you can see the kerb and not damage your alloy wheels!). And it only works on the passenger side if you have the memory seats option - which includes the memory mirrors too (it needs the mirror memory to know where to return the mirror to). nicknick
It's strange though as it doesn't return the mirror to the memory position....instead it returns it to the position the mirror was in before you selected reverse (which in most cases would be the memory position I know !) ..I guess the memory module remembers the 3 different memories for the 3 different keys but uses a current position immediately before reversing to know what to return to.
