I just worked out that based on a 6p a litre difference in price and 15,000 miles a year @ 25mpg, you'll be spending an extra £160 on super unleaded over normal.

C'mon guys, if you've just spent the best part of £30k on a car I am sure you can stretch to put the proper fuel in it 169144-ok.gif

I agree.

:edit:

Fair point about the distance though. I have two or three Shell stations within a couple of miles.

It not just the 6p. I don't mind that. But I am not going to do an extra 28 miles just to get petrol. Other super unleaded closer to me will be just fine, thats BP, Tesco or Sainsburys.

To edwards : Yeah the Focus ST is a great car. I have an ST3. The S3 is not that much more expensive. £20k compared to £27k. Problem is I took a S3 for a test and like it too much plus was in a position where I could buy it outright smile.gif

My A3 2.0TFSI is 11 months old with 37,000 on the clock. All travel has been done in the Cairngorms of Scotland which is like driving in Alpine roads. Started off using V-Power for the 1st 10,000 then switched to standard only difference I noticed was the fuel bill at the end of the month. No drop in performance at all.
