Sean_H
Hi all - I was hoping someone may be able to help me in sourcing some new alloy wheel centre caps for my MK4 R32. Some little has pinched mine from my front 2 wheels and I am looking to get a quick replacement. I've had a quick look on eBay, but am worried I may buy the wrong diameter ones. Can anyone help? or even just tell me what I should be looking for (part number or diameter etc)? Any help is as always really appreciated! Dan32
I'll try and find my old ones to measure them but keep an eye out for R logo ones on ebay as they fit and are difficult to get as they are usually only available in the US. Nicer than the VW ones and much tighter fit so difficult to steal
Sean_H
Great, it would be a big help - thanks Dan
Dan32
Centre caps part # (from the back): 6N0 601 171 and is 55mm max diameter, 52mm min diameter. Had look at ebay for you to see if I could find anyone selling the R caps but nothing there at the min. Would check VW parts dept before buying regular caps on ebay as they are often cheaper than 'limited edition VW centre caps from Hong Kong'

Craigieboy
Pray tell MacdaddyR32, where'd you get them from in the states? My vw ones are starting to fade and the R ones look the dogs nuts.
macdaddyR32
you need to have someone living over there to buy them for you and then ship them out to here when they get them.
Dan32
ECS Tuning do the R Line caps at $20 for 4 (but understand the shipping is about $40 to the UK). Might be up to certain weight so could get some friends involved and split the postage (that's what I did when I bought 10 sets from chaplins vw). ECS I've got original invoice from mine but can't seem to find the link from their website (www.chaplins.com) for the caps. Might be worth dropping them an email enquiry as 1 set only cost me $30 (worked out at $20 when I bought 10 sets and that included shipping and import duties) Thanks to a friendly Texer here is the link for vwgenuine parts aka Chaplins VW. $16.80 for a set plus shipping (I paid $14 shipping for one set and no import duty) and they turned up pretty quickly when I organised this before. vwgenuine parts
