Vagabond
GGRR- My bet is you're bringing on the IBS by eating the same foods. People develop intolerances to food types and don't realise. I myself suffered badly from IBS a few years ago. Tests revealed that i had a severe wheat intolerance. Being a pasta lover and eating the stuff 4 times a week for a long time resulted in my gut developing a reaction. A varied diet is the way to go
GARTHY
my diet is pretty varied but food I've eaten safely before bring on an incident. I might have been fine eating it last week but suffer this week - so no set pattern

I know i was suffering badly with stomach cramps, diahorrea, bloating etc. All related to my wheat intolerance. Doctor Fastlad

CarMad
I think I suffer from a bit of IBS. A bit of all bran in my crunchy nut bowl each morning does wonders. Oh and don't miss meals out if you can help it or eat too much well it doesn't help for me anyway.
Waylander
Have you tried peppermint Tea or [better] peppermint oil capsules?

Waylander
It is very good for IBS. Try them [the capsules]. And switch to peppermint tea for a week or so at least instead of caffeine.
