I ask this cos in the film it looks black, but I was watching the making (it's on the DVD) and they had an S8 adapted so it could be driven from the boot whilst the actors were filmed in the front (forget why now) and that car was definitely Cactus Green (a very dark green, my previous A3 quattro was this colour).

So I'm confused as to which it is now! confused.gif

Nice car though (Sven!) beerchug.gif

[ QUOTE ]

Do Audis ever appear in movies or on TV?

Audi has had a regular presence in Hollywood, both on the big screen and on television. In spring 2002, Hugh Grant appeared in an Audi TT Coupe in Universal Pictures feature film About A Boy. Also in 2002, Richard Gere was seen driving an A8 L in The Mothman Prophecies. These appearances build on Audi's history of Hollywood placements. You may not be familiar with all of them, but you should recognize some of the most familiar ones. The GREEN S8 from Ronin. Russell Crowe's silver A4 from The Insider. Thandie Newton's silver TT Roadster in Mission Impossible 2.

No I love my Ebony black pearl baby... just smoked a superbike with it grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif More about that later... jump.gif

Just ordered the DVD since I heard the stunt bits were pretty good. So I'll see. In the film it defo looks black though... And EVERYONE speaks about "that black S8" confused.gif

BTW, in the S8 brochure there's no 'cactus green', just a 'racing green metallic'.

Yeah, it's indeed green! EEK2.GIF

Not a bad combo though with the cream leather.

I had the film already of course (one of my favorites), just not on DVD. Bought it now for the extra's. beerchug.gif

Seen the weird boot-driven car too now, must be scary indeed as Jean Reno said. I'd rather drive myself, but I suppose Frankenheimer had a reason to do that. It's not really explained why though. I bet it's instead of the car on the trailer routine...

Incredible they wrecked 80 cars in the movie... EEK2.GIF Luckyly not all S8's though...
