Wrecked My New Lid

On Easter Sunday, the third time i used my new lid, i was out with a dozen or so lads on the SM (believe Sneaky may be familiar with them sekret.gif)

We spent the day doing mainly byways, farm tracks and some muddy rutted stuff you'd be struggling to get a tractor down let a lone a bike EEK2.GIF. I had a couple of minor offs in the mud as did one or two of the others, nothing serious tho and a good bit piss taking was had by all grin.gif.

On the way home we hit a twisty single lane gravel track and were making good progress for the conditions (30-40mph), when i over cooked it into a tight right hander and lost the front end. smashfreakB.gif

The decision to buy a cheap lid for off road work paid off, it did its job and i would have been really gutted if it had have been my good Arai road lid. 169144-ok.gif

I'm inclined to agree on the cheap lid front to an extent - the lids of today in the £150- £200 range are as good as the Arai lids (perhaps of a few years ago)... I came off once trail riding on rutted wet tracks on my dirt bike with a cheap lazer lid and went head first in to a dry stone wall... the lid saved my life - I chucked it and got another... job done.

Road bikes - I wear an Arai though....I think its worth it.
