Hi

Congrats on the new car!! The supagard might have left your car protected but it gives a shiney finish rather then a deep one.

If your looking for something easy to maintain it might be worth thinking about investing some time to get it up to scratch with a durable last stage wax or sealant.

My personal choice might be something like a paintwork cleaner, do you have Megs Deep Crystal step 1?? Then a glaze, this will help create a wet, deep effect and if you choose Red Machine Glaze for example you will enhance your metalic pop in the sun light. I would then pick a sharpe looking LSP that wont mute your metalic, Nattys Paste wax would give you 5-7 weeks durability depending on how you wash etc.

If you are noticing swirl marks and dont want to get a pro to take a look you might want to consider getting Clearkote Vanila Moose wax and topping it with Clearkote 'Nuba Moose Wax.

If you want to boost it up you can go to for Megs 16 paste wax. 3 Months durability and it looks great on black. Collinite are worth a mention for durability but i never really liked them as much as others.

If you have deeper pockets you might want to pick up the Zaino range. This is a completely synthetic product, it last a long time and looks good. However if you have swirl marks then this wont hide them much.

There are quite a few new products on the market so there is a lot of choice. Most times you will find as durability increases the looks of products tend to suffer slightly. There is an argument that says if you spend a £150+ on your LSP it might change but for most people thats good rule to follow.

My advice, Polish or paintwork cleaner, then glaze then a durable LSP. You can the wash and go, pick up a bulk amount of Quick Detailer and decent car soap as they will help extend the life time of your wax.

I'm with Geoff on this one. If you had the time you could start with a clay bar which Geoff advised me to do and my car came up beautifully. After this it was polished, glazed and sealed. Just waiting for the next wash to apply some pinnacle souveran grin.gif. As for pressure washers I am actually looking into one myself, I believe Karcher have one out for around £90 that comes with a few freebies like patio cleaner etc, think its called the 2.2 or something like that.

P.S. Welcome to TSN ! 169144-ok.gif

I have said Karcher with the Patio attachments and works a treat on the car and also the attachment is great for doing the patio and staying dry and clean at the same time! The detergent container is useless for putting foam wash in but can highly recommend the Karcher Foam Lance or better Autobrite or equivalent foam lance for this purpose too!
