Wobby
Was away recently and checked my oil and water, low on both!! Found a local Halfords but couldn't find the correct spec oil for a 10k serviced car (PD130). Had a choice beween good quality wrong spec or the longlife stuff. So i went for longlife, bought a litre and put it in. Will this cause any problems? Oil is due changing either this weekend or next weekend so it wont be in long. It was Castrol Edge that i used. Is there a Castrol product for the PD engine on standard service intervals? Thanks in advance
Tarmac_Terrorist
I've got a 1.9TDI Passat hire car. I bunged almost a litre of Longlife in it (petrol engine spec stuff) as it's all I had in my garage. 4000 miles later she's doing just fine
jedster0
My car handbook says that in an emergency you can add 0.5 litre of the wrong oil.........(that’s mixing normal in with long life) I can never find the correct spec long life oil at Halfords, they always have loads of normal spec stuff
