thebluedavis
I have a 53 plate 2.0 fsi wanted to fit 19ns on. Will an rs6 wheel with Offset: 35 Rim Width: 9J Tyre Width: 255 Aspect Ratio: 35 Load Index: 96 Fit my car ok...?
Cupramax
No, they'll stick out way too far. You need a wheel with an offset between ET54 & ET45 on the new shape A3's. The lower the offset the more the wheel protrudes from the wheelarch...
thebluedavis
Ah ok so 45 is ideal then I take it... a few other things.. 1. Will the wheels fit without rubbing... 2. Does the car need lowering or do people get away with putting them straight on..? Thanks
Hector-8
I would think again before putting them on.I would not recommend 19's.The ride will be very bumpy. Throw on a set of 18's.Is you model a s line or sport?I had lowering springs put in and i'm changing them back over to the standards ones again this week, theres no comfort anymore.plus the lowering spring really didn't put the car down much as the sports and s lines are already lowered. thebluedavis
Yeah I have a sport.... so the 19ns wouldnt fit with the standar suspension or the ride would just be shot...!? I have stadard 17ns on now so wanted to make the look a bit different... What is the ride like with 19ns... that bad...?!
Nelson_R32
Audi have just launched these 19 inch 'Turbo' wheels for the Audi A3 and TT. These will fit without issue because they obviously have factory limitation on offset etc.
thebluedavis
What about the rs6 wheel though... would this fit with no problems...?

thebluedavis
How do some cars get them to fit then... there are alot of cars in the gallery with these wheels on... sorry im a novice...
Cupramax
You get the ones with the right offset, quite simple... anything with an ET35 will fit a mk1 A3 and but the newer ones require ET45 or higher.
Hector-8
Most of the cars in the gallery have 18's. There is one guy,trident21 I think,he has 19's.I would seriously consider putting on 18's before buying 19's.Alot of people would agree with me here i'm sure, but i suppose it is all down to personal preference.right choice of wheel(RS6's), If you click my link,I have 18's on. thebluedavis
Do you ever get any problems with yours at all...!? Do they sit in the arch ok or do you have the correct offset...?
Hector-8
My 18's....they sit very well, and when i put lowering springs in and have 5 in the car, still no rubbing.I doubt you could have 5 in the car with 19's.to be honest i'm not entirely sure off the offset,i think it 45 or something.I was torn between the choice of 18's or 19's and eventually choose 18's and have never regreted it.
