Gti_Fly
I've been using Tescos 99 happily for quite a few months mainly because its nearer than to me than shell, but recently everytime I've used Vpower the car feels much more urgent. I had a feeling it was just my imagination, so tonight i switched back to Tesco's 99, and the car definatly feels slower as a result. Has anyone else had the same results recently? Im definatly going back to using Vpower for the foreseeable future
macdaddyR32
i've not found any difference, both seem as good as each other when i've changed.

Sean_H
What's the common consensus on BP Ultimate against Shell & Tesco?? I know they only advertise it as 98RON, but I had heard there was very little difference, other than the levels of 'engine cleaner' in the mix... [/ QUOTE ] I was wondering this also as bp is 98 oct but i saw an advert recently where they ran a gti on all 3 fuels and on the rolling road bp gave the most power. Ultimate was 217bhp tesco 99 was 216bhp and v power was 215bhp. Goes to show that vw's figures are a tad conservative. I've only ever run mine on vpower/optimax and im tempted to give ultimate a go
evergoodstudios
I've felt that for a while now - I've been using Sainsbury's Super unleaded - I know it's supermarket stuff but I've heard somewhere they get their supplies from BP and at 96.9p per litre I can't complain. I was using Tesco's super for about four months, and I found when trying out the Sainsbury's stuff recently my car was quicker, if only marginally
