Anan1
DOes anyone know how to remove & replace OEM xenon bulbs? I've opened the back of the headlight and disconnected the bulb, but I can't see how to actually remove it. Thanks!

kite
This is from the A6 forum, yours may be similar Found elsewhere: "First remove the airbox completely to gain access to the passenger side headlight. Also, to make it easier, on the drivers side it is easier to move the black resevoir over by removing the single torx screw and pushing it over to the side. Once that is done the bulbs are accessed by removing the plastic rear covers. I assume you are changing out the HID bulbs and the DRLs? The plastic covers behind the headlight housings are removed by releasing two plastic clips. On one side, they are located on the top of the cover while the other side has them on the bottm. Simply depress them to release the clips. The HID bulbs are removed by first unclipping the metal retainer from the ignitor. Rotate the ignitor 1/4 turn and remove. Once removed, HID bulbs can be unclipped like any standard bulb. Be careful NOT to touch any area of the glass of bulbs or it will cut the life of the bulb drastically. The DRL bulbs are even simpler and only require you to turn them 1/4 turn and pull straight out. Install in reverse."
LostKiwi
I've attached the procedure for an S8 - hopefully it will be right for you. You'll need to save the file and rename it to a .doc extension and open it in MS Word though. Its been virus checked with current Avast patterns and engine.
