hobbsy
On eBay at the moment but will accept offers to buy it now, see here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330153638176 --- The turbo has done approx 40k miles and has no shaft play (apart from the very small about of side to side play you get on all journal bearing turbos even when new - this is taken up when it has oil running through it but you can't really grab the shaft of a hot running turbo!). It comes with new original Audi gaskets and also the 3 high tensile high temp nuts and bolts (also VAG supplied) - i.e. all the bits you need to replace when you change your turbo. The part number is "058 145 703 J" which is the latest and best version of this fitment, it is fitted to the 150bhp but it can run at higher boost pressures (and therefore resulting power level) as they improved the turbo design compared to the early versions (but it is still a direct replacement for cars fitted with the earlier version). It may also be fitted to the Passat (which is related to the A4) according to this page (which also states its rated at 170bhp): http://www.vwmod.com/general/general_turbo.php I'd imagine you may be able to fit it to other VAG cars but it would probably require some modification as its intended for cars with North-South mounted engines (FWD is transverse on the Golfs etc (East-West)). This is hundreds new from Audi/VW as you'd expect as is an original KKK turbo. PLEASE don't confuse this with the glut of cheap chinese KKK copies floating around on ebay (especially on ebay.com). If you see ones that seems to good to be true its usually one of these - ask them if its an original KKK. The amount of hassle to fit a new turbo only to do it again when it fails because its made of monkey metal just isn't worth it (could also damage your engine when it fails).
