maersk
No different from other brands with 'plastic' pumps. The sure fire remedy is to buy a metal pumped washer from any supplier at vast cost. For metal read brass as the alloy ones are as prone to wear as polymer. tomandjo2
I have stripped down again and inspected top housing with a magnifier and cannot find teh slightest evidence of a crack however it looks like the syphon mechanism is connected to both sides of the injector. The high pressure must shut the syphon off so could be this isn't happening any more.
tomandjo2
HOORAY fixed, I decided to stick to your advice and replaced both parts of cylinder head as I'd ordered them any way. Although down side to that is I don't know which part was failing but it works now good as new so I'm pleased. Regards Tom
maersk
I guarantee that it was the 'upper part'. Happy new refurbished power washer!
TDiAvant
[ QUOTE ] Ok you guys. send me your donations. the cylinder head is fcuked. My 530 did the same thng and for £15 it is as good as new. E-spares rules ok. The UPPER fitting will have developed a crack which allows pressure to leak from the output side to the input which causes the pulsing. [/ QUOTE ] Is there anywhere else to get karcher parts, my KB5050 has failed with the same problem and can I feck as like find spare parts. [email protected]
Help...!!! my K4.99m started to pulse last year but I put up with it (I think its called lethagy) I then left it outside like an idiot (worst winter for years) ....Tried to use it and water poured out from underneath..did a bit of investigation and found that the see through plastic input pipe had cracked....I then found this site and in particular this thread....pointed me at Espares...cheapest plus genuine Karcher bits.... Bought a new pipe and an accessories holder clip (did I mention I broke this when it fell over..!) anyway fitted the above and I had a pressue washer again..! but it was still pulsing....I'd tried the air-lock solution but no joy so went down the new cylinder head route...arrived today and I fitted it...aghhhh...the machine is still pulsing..(by the way I can't see any crack hairline or otherwise in the cylinder head...) Any suggestion as to what I can try next would be appreciated...its had a new lance and wands....
